Forest wellness represents the so-called "bathing" in forest air and refers to walks in the forest that include medical elements, which is a leading global trend in wellness, SPA, and health tourism.
Our professor Jelena Farkić is a member of the Forest Therapy association, which organizes numerous educational programs and implements projects in the field of responsible tourism. As part of the study programs in Hospitality and Gastronomy Management and Human Resources and Business, we offer students and all interested individuals a unique experience that will holistically enrich the learning process and work on personal development.
The education program includes the following:
- Basic theoretical knowledge about forest wellness
- The impact of the forest on human health and well-being
- Practical execution of forest walks (American, Japanese, and Balkan types)
After passing the practical exam, participants receive the FTSEE certificate of completed training, and students of our institution earn 2 ECTS within their study program.
