As part of the project with Xenios Academy, a lecture on the topic of Basics of Neuroscience will be held by Željana Babić.
Željana Babić is the founder and executive director of Xenios Academy, where she uses her knowledge of neuroscience to develop an innovative learning management system designed to enhance long-term knowledge retention. She earned her education at University of California, San Diego, where she graduated with a double major in clinical psychology and neuroscience, then completed her master’s studies in neurobiology, and began doctoral studies in neuroscience in 2020.
Throughout her research work, Željana has studied the brain from various angles, combining genetic, biological, and cognitive research. Her papers have been published in leading global scientific journals such as "Cell," "eLife," and "Translational Psychiatry," and have been cited in numerous studies related to behavior, neurobiological, and biomedical processes.
For her work at Xenios Academy, Željana received the prestigious award "Women in Technology: Technology of the Future" from the World Tourism Organization of the United Nations. Additionally, her research has significantly advanced the reliability of biomedical research by addressing issues with cell line identification, leading to the adoption of more rigorous methodologies by leading research organizations such as the American Association for Cancer Research.
The lecture "Basics of Neuroscience" will be held on Thursday, 17th of October, at 11:00 AM at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences "Eduka."
