The prestigious BuildUp 2025 conference, the largest regional event dedicated to innovations in the architecture of hotels, restaurants, and HoReCa facilities, was held on October 23, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade – and among the leading participants were representatives of the Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka”.

This year's theme, “Horekatura – the architecture of hospitality,” brought together the elite from the fields of architecture, design, hospitality, and investment. In the same space were experts whose projects shape the regional hospitality industry – from the most renowned hotel brands to the most advanced architectural studios.

Eduka was once again present where the trends that our students will learn, apply, and create tomorrow are born.
On behalf of the faculty, our professors and associates attended the conference, following the latest guidelines in design, sustainability, energy efficiency, technology, and the design of modern HoReCa spaces.

Particularly inspiring were the panels on designing hotels as “small cities” – complex systems with requirements for longevity, infrastructure, and guest experiences that push the boundaries of the hospitality industry.

The conference was marked by lectures and case studies by renowned experts, including:

  • Ksenija Đorđević (Studio KDA)
  • Jugoslav Janjić (dA Design Architecture)
  • Miloš Cerović (Peritum Hotels)
  • Momir Mijić (Profakustika)
  • Nikola Novaković (Studio Enforma)
  • Ksenija Pantović (Studio OBE)
  • Nikola Milović (The Bristol Belgrade)
  • Sonja Brstina (Sonja Brstina Interiors)
  • Bojan Dotlić (Accor)
  • Aleksandar Đikanović (Xella)
  • Vladimir Gugl (Gugl:dsgn)

Their lectures opened new questions, offered concrete solutions, and showed the development directions of hospitality facilities in the coming decade.

Why is this event important for Eduka and our students?
Attendance at BuildUp 2025 provided our faculty with direct insight into innovations that are already changing the industry. We will use this experience to further modernize our study programs, especially in the fields of tourism, hospitality, management, spatial design, and gastronomy.

In this way, Eduka reaffirms its commitment to creating study programs according to the highest international standards, in step with practice and market needs – and enables students to be part of a network of leading professionals in the region even during their studies.
