The Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka” has achieved yet another strategic step forward in international cooperation. Based on the inter-institutional cooperation agreement between the University Business Academy in Novi Sad and the University of Rijeka, an agreement was signed between two leading faculties in the field of tourism and hospitality—the Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka” from Belgrade and the Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality from Opatija.
This act opens an entirely new era of academic and professional exchange between Serbia and Croatia, with concrete plans for joint projects, the development of modern study programs, and the implementation of regional initiatives.
At the meeting of deans, Prof. Dr. Filip Đoković and Prof. Dr. Marko Perić, key pillars of the partnership were defined, among which the following stand out:
- development of scientific research projects of international importance,
- joint participation in EU cross-border programs,
- creation of specialized programs in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and destination management.
In this way, the Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka” strengthens its position as a regional center for modern education in management, economics, and tourism.
During the official visit, Prof. Dr. Srđan Milošević, one of the leading experts in the field of tourist destination management, held an inspiring lecture for students of the business economics in tourism and hospitality program in Opatija.
The students had the opportunity to learn about the latest models of destination management, sustainable development, and strategic trends that shape the European tourism market. The reactions of students and faculty members were extremely positive, and the lecture marked the beginning of more intensive involvement of Eduka’s lecturers in the academic life of the partner faculty.
What does this agreement mean for our students?
- access to study visits and internships in one of the most prestigious European tourist destinations—Opatija,
- participation in joint projects and international conferences,
- the possibility of exchange programs and learning in a multinational environment,
- creating professional contacts in the region and the EU,
- enhancing the quality of teaching through direct cooperation with top experts.
This agreement is only the beginning. The Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka” remains committed to its mission of cooperation, regional networking, and creating study programs that follow the standards of the most developed European faculties. Special gratitude goes to the faculty members in Opatija, Prof. Dr. Krešimir Mikinac and Assoc. Dr. Vanja Vitezić, for their support and initiative in numerous joint activities.
