On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, Prof. Dr. Nataša Simić will hold a guest lecture at FOS EDUKA on the topic of inclusive education. When a psychologist and scientist who has spent decades studying education, teachers, and students simultaneously develops projects that improve schools, strengthen teaching competencies, and contribute to children's well-being, her work becomes a foundation of modern inclusive practice in Serbia.
In the next class of Pedagogical and Developmental Psychology, the Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka” will proudly host Prof. Dr. Nataša Simić, research advisor and associate professor at the Institute of Psychology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. The lecture will address the values that underpin inclusive education, different understandings of disability, the history of inclusion worldwide and in Serbia, legal frameworks, support systems available to teachers and families, and the role of psychologists in applying inclusive principles within the educational system.
What will students gain from the lecture?
Students will be able to identify dominant social and personal biases, understand the difference between the medical and psychosocial models of disability, clearly distinguish segregation, integration, and inclusion, and understand the difference between equality and equity. They will be able to argue the advantages of inclusive education, recognize key support systems for children who need additional assistance, describe the role of psychologists in implementing inclusion, list examples of individualization and differentiation in teaching, and outline an individual education plan.
