Sofija Radovanović, a Psychology student at the Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka”, excelled at the 11th Scientific-Professional Conference “Mental Health in a Period of Social Change”, held on Zlatibor from November 27 to 30.
This international event, organized by the Psychological Counseling Center for Students of the SKC Niš, the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Kosovska Mitrovica, and the Student Union of the University of Niš, brought together psychologists, researchers, mental health professionals, and students from several countries. The rich program included plenary lectures, symposiums, round tables, workshops, oral and poster presentations – all focused on contemporary challenges in mental health research.

Sofija presented her research titled “Psychological Resources as Protective Factors Across Different Life Stages and Environments”, which drew significant interest from the professional community. Prof. Dr. Đerđi Erdeš Kavečan mentored the research and supported the student’s initiative to be an active participant at the conference. The key findings of the study are:
- Participants show a high level of hope and prosperity,
- A moderate level of life satisfaction,
- A concerningly low level of stress resilience, especially among younger participants.
These results indicate that psychological resources are not evenly distributed throughout the life cycle, creating space for the development of targeted support programs, strengthening coping mechanisms, and improving mental well-being in modern society.
The Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka” proudly congratulates Sofija Radovanović on her outstanding performance, her dedication to research, and for representing the faculty at the highest level. Her participation once again confirms that FOS “Eduka” fosters academic excellence, encourages the development of young researchers, and actively contributes to the professional and scientific community.
