As part of the preparation for professional practice in cooperation with the Center for Palliative Care and Palliative Medicine Belhospice, around 30 psychology students from the Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka” attended preparatory lectures dedicated to working with seriously ill patients.

During the lectures, a representative of Belhospice, nurse Maja Đorđijević, introduced students to the importance of a team-based approach in palliative care, emphasizing the cooperation of healthcare professionals, social workers, and psychologists in providing comprehensive support to patients.

The specifics of psychological work with individuals facing severe and often incurable illnesses, as well as working with their families, were presented by psychologist Marija Cvijanović. Students had the opportunity to learn about the challenges, as well as the importance of an empathetic approach in this type of psychological practice.

The high level of interest and active participation of students confirmed their readiness to engage, already during their studies, in working with people in the most sensitive life situations.

The Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka” expresses gratitude to its partner Belhospice, as well as to the lecturers, for their dedication and valuable contribution to the education of future psychologists.
