The Faculty of Organisational Studies “Eduka” in Belgrade today signed a cooperation agreement with the Specialised Gynaecology Hospital “Pronatal” in Belgrade, establishing the conditions for psychology students to complete professional placements at this healthcare institution.
Through this partnership, students will have the opportunity to explore, with the support and mentorship of professionals, the specific aspects of psychological work with individuals and couples facing fertility issues and challenges on their journey to parenthood.
Conception difficulties and fertility treatment can be accompanied by intense emotional responses, stress, uncertainty, a sense of losing control, and challenges within relationships. Psychological support is therefore an important part of comprehensive reproductive healthcare. For future psychologists, gaining insight into this field offers a valuable opportunity to understand the connection between psychological and medical aspects of treatment, as well as the importance of empathy, counselling skills and interdisciplinary cooperation.
The meeting marking the establishment of the partnership was attended by Tijana Sibinčić, Chief Operating Officer, and Katarina Gajin, PR and Marketing Manager at the Specialised Gynaecology Hospital “Pronatal”, alongside representatives of the Faculty of Organisational Studies “Eduka” — Assistant Professor Dragana Mitrić-Aćimović, PhD, and Veljko Samardžić.
With the signing of this agreement, the network of organisations and institutions offering “Eduka” psychology students the opportunity to complete professional placements has expanded to more than 15 partner institutions. These include healthcare facilities, educational institutions, organisations providing psychosocial support, and institutions responsible for the enforcement of criminal sanctions, enabling students to gain insight into various areas of professional psychological practice.
The Faculty of Organisational Studies “Eduka” extends its gratitude to the Specialised Gynaecology Hospital “Pronatal” for its trust and willingness to contribute to the education and professional development of future psychologists.
