As part of the Stress Management course, the Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka” in Belgrade will host a guest lecture by Prof. Dr. Stanislava Popov on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., in Room 301, entitled:
“When Do the Desire for Success and Dedication to Learning and Work Stop Motivating Us and Start Exhausting Us?”
The desire to succeed, high personal standards, and dedication to our responsibilities are often important drivers of personal development. However, where is the line between healthy motivation and the pressure we put on ourselves? How can our beliefs about success, achievement, and self-worth contribute to stress and burnout?
Through the perspective of the cognitive-behavioral approach, participants will have the opportunity to better understand the psychological mechanisms behind these processes and explore ways to remain committed to their goals while preserving their psychological well-being.
