Students and professors of the Faculty of Organizational Studies “Eduka” took part in one of Serbia’s most significant scientific and professional events in the field of mental health — the 50th anniversary symposium of the Clinic for Psychiatry at the University Clinical Centre of Serbia (UKCS), held on October 22 and 23, 2026, at Ložionica in Belgrade, under the inspiring title “Spectrum of the Mind: The Evolution of Knowledge.”
Half a century of scientific excellence, clinical experience, and continuous development in psychiatry was celebrated by bringing together leading national and international experts whose research and professional achievements are shaping contemporary understanding of the human mind. Among the distinguished speakers were Prof. Dr. Andrea Fiorillo, President of the European Psychiatric Association (EPA); Prof. Dr. Andreas Meyer-Lindenberg from Heidelberg University; and internationally recognized experts from Maastricht, London, and other European scientific centres.
From the biology of mental disorders and contemporary psychotherapeutic approaches to psychopharmacology, forensic psychiatry, and new diagnostic and treatment possibilities, the symposium addressed some of the most important questions shaping the future of mental health. For FOS Eduka students and professors, participation in this event represented a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the latest scientific findings, interdisciplinary approaches, and the experience of experts pushing the boundaries of contemporary psychiatry and psychological science.
The presence of FOS Eduka representatives at this prestigious event confirms the Faculty’s strategic commitment to developing education beyond traditional academic boundaries by actively involving students and professors in relevant scientific and professional events. Bringing together psychology, psychiatry, and other disciplines that study human beings is an important part of fostering critical thinking, research competencies, and the professional responsibility of future experts.
The significance of this anniversary is also reflected in its message that scientific progress depends not only on new technologies and therapeutic approaches but also on a deeper understanding of people, their emotions, relationships, and dignity.
For FOS Eduka, attending such events is not merely an opportunity to acquire new knowledge but an expression of an academic culture in which students do not wait for the future of science — they are already becoming an active part of it today.
